T+A systems - and not only the surround systems - are very often operated in conjunction with high-quality flat-screen televisions. Naturally it is very convenient if the essential functions of the whole system - i.e. including the TV set - can be controlled using the T+A remote control handset, avoiding the need to fiddle about with several “remotes”. Thankfully the two renowned German manufacturers Loewe and Metz produce interfaces for controlling their later TVs, and T+A has developed appropriate software for the K2 DVD receivers and R-series control units.
The software converts T+A commands into TV control commands, and also passes information from the TV set to the T+A system.
