| CM Active are active monitors that complete the Caruso perfectly, transforming it into a full-size Hi-Fi system. Although these loudspeakers look extremely compact, their net volume is quite significant. The casing makes this possible, as it consists mostly of aluminium, producing a very strong, rigid structure with relatively thin walls. Over the past decades T+A has proven the sonic advantages of genuine fully active speakers in form of the Solitaire and TCI active units, with impressive results. |
| We have incorporated this expertise in our CM Active. Each drive unit of the two-way speaker is driven by its own direct-coupled power amplifier with a continuous output of more than 70 Watts. These power amplifiers offer superb sound quality, whilst the sophisticated active cross-over units linearise the frequency response and expand the low bass. A high-performance mains power supply ensures superb peak handling characteristics even at elevated volume levels. The high-quality drive units are perfectly matched to the cabinets, and generate an extraordinarily dynamic and powerful sound image with impressively deep bass. Of course, the CM Active speakers also harmonise well with any other pre-amplifier. |
