PULSAR S 350

The flagship of the new PULSAR series is the S 350, a mature three-way floor-standing loudspeaker. This outstanding speaker exemplifies the fundamental philosophy of PULSAR speakers in terms of technology and sound: superb sound quality, sophisticated drive units, beautifully constructed cabinets and a superior price : performance ratio.

The two powerful bass units are accurately matched to the sturdy cabinet with its multiple internal stiffening measures, and their hard, embossed cones generate an incredibly low, precise, high-pressure bass.

The 15 cm mid-range unit is an ingenious design which effortlessly copes with the full vocal range from 300 to 2000 Hz, creating an amazingly natural sound with its inherently lively, dynamic character. It is fitted with a highly damped cone treated with a special coating material, enabling it to reproduce even extremely high levels in a completely neutral and uncoloured way.

The newly developed super treble unit with its woven dome perfectly complements the other drivers, taking the speaker’s frequency range up to 35,000 Hz and beyond: airy, fast, dynamic and devoid of any trace of hardness or sharpness, it provides superb radiation characteristics.

The sophisticated three-way cross-over unit is assembled using the finest available components. Accurately calculated, optimised for best possible cone travel and transmission characteristics, it fluently processes even the highest levels, and ensures the perfect distribution of the three frequency ranges. It plays a crucial role in the natural sound stage produced by the speaker, and the perfect imaging and even coverage of the system as a whole.

The cabinet is extremely rigid and heavy, and consists of multi-layer laminated MDF and particle boards. This construction effectively prevents resonance effects and discoloration in the bass range. The rounded cabinet edges are extremely elegant, and also contribute to the speaker’s good dispersion characteristics. The whole cabinet is finished with a high-quality textured film all round.
