A possible cause is that the driver required for USB HiSpeed mode is not installed, or not installed correctly. It can also occur that an already installed driver no longer works properly after a security update to the MAC operating system.
If you have not yet installed a driver, please refer to Point 4 below.
If a driver is already installed but no longer works properly, please carry out the following procedure:
1. Remove the already installed driver by erasing the file 'TplusAUSBAudio.kext'. You will find this file on the hard disc (e.g. 'Macintosh HD') under: System -> Library -> Extensions -> TplusAUSBAudio.kext.
2. Disconnect the USB lead between the DAC8 and the MAC.
3. Switch the computer off.
Installing the T+A driver
4. Start the computer.
Download the latest version of the driver from the
T+A Website
6. Double-click on the file 'TplusAUSBASY-273.4.1.pkg' and carry out the installation procedure.
7. Re-start the computer.
8. Connect the DAC8 and switch it on.
9. Select the DAC8 as playback device.
Playback should now function perfectly.
